Join Dr. Katherine Clements, Ecology and Natural Resources Educator with University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, Extension Sarasota County, to learn how to implement the EcoWalk program in your community with adults. EcoWalks draw from the principles and practices “shinrin-yoku”, the Japanese art of Forest Bathing, which brings participants into a sensory relationship with the natural world. In this training, you will learn how to guide groups through a nature immersion process, bringing mindfulness and sensory awareness practices into the experience. This training will provide you with the science behind the practice and the tools that you need to be an effective guide and to identify others who can enhance your capacity to bring this beneficial programming to your community.
